The People’s Party #OccupyCongress

Paul — Get out your red bandanas and stand in solidarity with the People’s Party tomorrow to call for housing as a human right, rent forgiveness, and good jobs for all and #OccupyCongress!

Earlier this week the People’s Party membership overwhelmingly voted to Occupy the steps of the U.S. Capitol Building on Labor Day. Since the vote announcement, so many groups and individuals have reached out to partner with us or join this movement at the steps.

Some of the folks that will be joining us are: Anya Parampil, host, Red Lines, The Grayzone; Lee Camp host, Redacted Tonight; Max Blumenthal, co-host Moderate Rebels and editor at The Grayzone; Medea Benjamin, co-founder of CODEPINK; Jackson Hinkle, host of The Dive; Nick Brana, Paula Jean Swearengin, and Zeynab Day from the People’s Party

Sign up to join us starting at 3:00 p.m. tomorrow, Monday Aug. 6th and help us demand housing as a human right, rent forgiveness and good paying jobs!

Millions are facing eviction again and millions more are losing their unemployment lifeline on Labor Day. Yet, the Democrats are on vacation and the steps of Congress are empty. Now the people are going to finish what the politicians could not. Monday is just the beginning.

Contribute $10 today and help us support a prolonged action.

This week marks the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Blair Mountain, one of the greatest labor uprisings in American history. It also marks the 10th anniversary of the anti-corruption movement, Occupy Wall Street. Hear more about #OccupyCongress on Jimmy Dore.  This is it. We need EVERYONE to join us. If you can’t join us on the Capitol Steps, help us spread the word by sharing the event and following our livestreams.
