We Reported a Serious Case of £SIX-FIGURE Fraud To a Council’s Auditors. What Did They Do? Nothing …

As you can hear, Veritau chased up a York woman local to them who was involved in benefit fraud. She was sent to prison.

They then used this to blow their own trumpet in an article in a local newspaper and to deter other potential benefit fraudsters from criminal activity.

But when I reported Stuart Halliday’s alleged fraud, which went into six figures, they made no definite promises, fair enough, but four years later there appears to have been no investigation carried out and unlike the lady who went to prison, Stuart Halliday was free to continue in his senior role at my local council, Wirral.

Now, it appears the newspaper that printed the original benefit fraud story was tipped off or pressurised by persons unknown and the article was safely deleted, drawing a convenient veil across the abject, corporate hypocrisy of Veritau.

We rang them again a year later:

Veritau Manager Jonathan Dodsworth never rang us back.
