Principal Lawyer Paul Martin had been informed of it in detail on 24th April 2024.

Yet he failed to address it.

I’ve sent an email to my MP Angela Eagle – new Home Office Minister – to request that she acts.

Dear Paul,

This email is sent to notify you that your recent 5G mast investigation featured a foreseeable and avoidable failure to correctly carry out what you described as a ‘comprehensive investigation’.

Specifically, you omitted to address the doctoring of the wording of the government’s National Planning Policy Framework document. These alterations to the government text may or may not have been carried out by a private planning consultant working on behalf of CK Hutchison Networks (UK) Limited. The altered text was later submitted to the council in support of a 5G mast application on Hoylake Road, Wirral. You have not taken up the opportunity to investigate this aspect – despite possessing full knowledge of the situation – which had been described in our initial letter before claim dated 24th April 2024.

I have informed my MP Angela Eagle, Minister of State at the Home Office, and requested her assistance. I do hope you can sense the Wirral public’s ongoing frustration with Wirral Council’s conduct and the local and national media’s failure to report the situation…!
