Prince Harry condemns antivaxxers who ‘peddle lies and fears’ at GQ awards

Prince Harry has hit out at antivaxers who “peddle in lies and fears creating vaccine hesitancy” and has called on governments to combat the “huge disparity” in access to vaccines.

The Duke of Sussex made a surprise appearance by video link at the GQ Men of the Year awards last night, where he presented a prize to the team behind the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine.

Wearing a black tuxedo, the Duke of Sussex said that “we are all at risk” until everyone can access the vaccine. He also criticised “mass-scale misinformation” for vaccine hesitancy, and admonished “news media and social media” for spreading falsehoods.
