We spoke to over 95,000 customers and stakeholders across the North West who told us what mattered to them and their communities when putting together our plans, which have been independently assessed and approved by our regulator.![]() Our investment plan for 2025-2030 Between 2025 and 2030 we will deliver an investment plan of more than £13 billion. This will deliver improvements to our services, building on the work already started to reduce storm overflow spills by 60% by 2030 and make sure we provide a reliable water supply to you.The work we are carrying out over the next five years will also help to improve water quality for 1.4 million customers, protect and enhance over 500km of rivers and bathing waters while also helping to reduce leakage by 26% by 2030.It is a huge boost for the North West economy, supporting 30,000 jobs in the region.We have produced investment plans for each county – so one for Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Cheshire. What this means for you and your bill The scale of our five-year investment plan means that unfortunately bills will need to increase to ensure that the services we provide are resilient to climate change, meet the demands of our growing population and address the priorities of our customers.We want to be as transparent as possible when explaining your charges and the services you pay for and our North West based customer service team is here to help. OUR CHARGES Here to support you at this timeWe know that for many customers, any bill increase will put additional strain on households which are already finding things difficult due to the rising cost of living.We have a range of support schemes that can help. Over the next five years, we have committed to delivering a £525 million package of affordability support, targeted to help one in six customers with their bills. Visit the link below for details about all the ways we can support you if you are having difficulties with your payments. For example, you may be eligible for financial support if you receive benefits or are on a low income. We also have details on our website of independent organisations who provide free advice to help you tackle your household debts. SUPPORT WITH YOUR BILL We would also encourage you to check if you could reduce your bills with a water meter as most customers that have opted for a meter save around £100 a year. We also offer a lowest bill guarantee for the first two years which means you will not be charged more than you would have been without a meter. REGISTER NOW How we are investing in Merseyside We’ve shaped our plans for each county to address the things that you’ve told us matter most. For Merseyside our plan includes:We will invest to improve 65km of the Vyrnwy Aqueduct, this is a huge pipeline which carries water from Wales to Merseyside, safeguarding supplies for future generations, alongside major investment at two of our largest treatment works to protect the quality of drinking water.We know that customers want us to do more to reduce the frequency that our storm overflows operate. In Merseyside, we are investing to reduce spills from 19 storm overflows to improve water quality.Investing in costal defences at Crosby to protect sewers from erosion by the sea. Our investment with partners will also protect up to 169 homes from flooding.We are also helping more than 115,000 vulnerable customers with additional needs through our Priority Services scheme.This is just a snapshot of the multi-billion pound investment we have planned for Merseyside.
