It looks like holding Wirral and Reading Councils to account is not going to be easy
It does make you wonder doesn’t it! Just how far do you have to go to fuck things up in public service before someone says, ‘Hi up! You’re a proven incompetent bungling idiot. Be gone. Buggar off. Take your application form and your glowing tributes of reference with you and don’t come bloody back here and cross our threshold you oily liability for future corporate chaos.
Isn’t it crazy that Reading Council are so eagerly employing someone so bloody useless, fully laden and equipped with documented WBC antecedent history of shite performance that screams out from a huge elevated prominent acoustically great position that moreorless says, ‘I’m fucking useless’, and, ‘I’m a massive risk’, and still, even though they must be cognisant that their new employee is shit, still, despite it all, they open their doors to them, house them in their new office, pass them their portfolio of responsibility and trust them not to repeat past mistakes and fuck it all up once again!
As for banning or blocking my dear friend Paul, and for the sake of balance and fairness I’ve often considered it myself, one has to ask the question why? If I was an employer and some kindly soul gave me the heads up and the nod that suggested that I’d be wise to think again before I started contributing toward a pension pot that I’d strangle my wife for, I’d say, ‘thank you pilgrim. I’ll think on your words, research just how big a risk this all is to the good folk of Reading, and if I think you’ve got a point, I’ll act on your advice and rid myself of this unwelcome problem’.
Course, in the other world, that of public service, where the money is spent freely and being an employee who’s no stranger to failure is a tick in the box and having a career of public service that hitherto has been unblemished by any measurable success, it really doesn’t matter how many times they’re warned, ‘don’t do it’, they’ll trundle on and on and on navigating one steaming cow pat after another cognisant that no matter how often they fuck things up nothing will ever halt their climb up the greasy pole of public service.
As for Reading and their ratepayers who diligently recycle their rubbish, refrain from betting upon uncertain outcomes and sup ale more often than they should, I say, ‘God help you. Welcome to a tiny slice of pleasure from the beautiful Wirral peninsula where luck, God and good fortune fucked off long ago.

Thing is lad, with your fella Jim, if you ever have to return to him for a nod or even a hint at how to get from ‘a’ to ‘b’ he’ll trust you now because he’ll have read this and all the other stuff relating to The Brick Through The Window bollocks. You behaved honourably.
It was a good piece of written work and despite the X’s relating to Jim, the reader could sense he was completely reasonable with you.
