“Richard D. Hall will be appearing at a High Court hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London, WC2A 2LL on Monday 29th January 2024, starting at 2pm, and time allowed is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The hearing will be heard in a court room, although which court room has not yet been decided.
The hearing is for a summary judgment application submitted by the Claimants – who claim they were injured in the Manchester Arena bomb attack. Their application to the court has been made in order to attempt to prevent all of Richard D. Hall’s evidence about the alleged bombing being heard at a future trial. The basis of this, is that they claim that his evidence would have no chance of success at a trial, because they claim that the truth about the Manchester Arena bombing was already established by a public inquiry. He will be opposing the application at the hearing, in order to get his evidence heard. It is expected a decision will be made by the judge at the end of the hearing. The main part of the claim is that the opinions expressed in Richard D. Hall’s book and films about the Manchester Arena incident amount to a harassment of them, and they are seeking damages of £50,000 and an injunction against his published work.
If anyone wants to attend, there are seats, but limited to a certain number, and they are allocated on a first come basis. Please dress well if you are coming to support, please do not speak in the court room and do not try to record the hearing.”

Sadly, less than half of us who showed up at courtroom 37 were allowed to remain in the room. A very sad lack of chairs & willingness to provide more was shown by the Royal Courts of ‘Justice’ and those of us remaining standing were unceremoniousely ushered out, despite not providing any obstruction to exits or any danger to the proceedings.
The prosecution team (5 of them ? compared to 1 lawyer for Richard) turned up at the last minute, and demanded that all of them be seated in favour of those that had turned up well in advance. I’ve yet to hear the verdict as to whether Richard’s evidence will be permitted in any forthcoming hearings.
The complainant guy in the wheelchair whose team were bringing proceedings had a minder for sure, and their team looked like a mix of MI5 & a Dominatrix club.
On the plus side, I briefly said hello to Iain Davies and Ben wotsisname 😁, who was hanging outside waiting for an interview with RDH.
Nice to see some representation though.

Hi Purple, so sorry I didn’t clock when we met, it’s a long time seen we’ve seen each other. As one of those booted out unnecessarily from the court, what I report here is secondary account and Richard’s own perception.
Everyone said that Richard delivered a quite remarkable statement to the court that seemed to genuinely engage the interest of the judge. He presented an outline of his evidence to the court and, no matter what happens, that argument at least is now on court record.
The judge has stated that he will issue his written ruling in due course. In conversation afterwards, Richard said this was a source of some considerable frustration for him as, in effect, he had no more clarity than he did before entering court 37.
It was great to meet fellow UK Column members at the court and a personal highlight for me was meeting Dr Nick Kollerstrom whose work I have admired for many years.
But what this was really about was supporting Richard and, knowing him personally, I hope he won’t mind me remarking that what the state is doing to him has had a noticeable impact upon him. His bravery, representing himself on this occasion, fighting what is clearly a very well funded, state backed legal team and facing considerable professional and personal jeopardy, while never wavering or backing down from stating what he believes to be true, a truth I feel he has proven beyond all reasonable doubt, is inspiring.
We often talk about shills and controlled opposition and such stuff. But some people are just honest, principled, hard working, brave and willing to stand up for truth and challenge power, no matter what. Some people are incorruptible and the state fears them the most. Richard is one of those people and I have nothing but the utmost respect for him.
It was great to see Ben Ruben representing UK Column outside the court. I am sure they will highlight Richards case. He needs our support more than ever.
