URGENT / BREAKING: Has your child brought THIS NHS Covid19 testing kit home from school?

We’ve now received a response on this from UK Peer of the Realm Lord Bethell. Despite the urgency, this has taken two months:

BREAKING:

Our complaint – sent over a month ago to Dame Angela Eagle and forwarded to Education Secretary Gavin Williamson – is being ignored…

https://wirralinittogether.blog/2021/05/06/toxic-ethylene-oxide-in-childrens-lateral-flow-tests-a-month-later-our-complaint-to-dame-angela-eagle-is-being-ignored/

Upon opening the box and reading the enclosed information, you’ll discover that the testing swabs have been sterilised with “EO”. This is an abbreviation of Ethylene Oxide, which is a highly-toxic chemical compound described on the following official government website as “cancer-causing”.

https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/causes-prevention/risk/substances/ethylene-oxide

The next question which occurred to us was “Why didn’t the school or UK central government notify parents about this?”

What we also don’t know here is “How much cancer-causing ethylene oxide residue is likely to be left on the swab as it gets inserted into your child’s nasal passage?”

Here is the relevant, but difficult to fathom International Standard ISO 10993-7, which holds a wealth of complex information, but nothing specific to Covid19 self-testing kits.

At the moment, due to the lack of information from official channels and our inability to provide voluntary informed consent in line with Point 6.3 of the Nuremberg Code (1947) we are not satisfied that our children are being safely and competently dealt with.

We haven’t managed to pin down the equivalent British Standard yet, but readers may wish to start here and see where it leads them…

21st March 2021

The equivalent British Standard is BS EN ISO 10993-7:2008.

Currently, we can’t find a free, accessible .pdf copy of this standard, so here’s a link to the headline information on it:

As you can see, there’s no mention of Ethylene Oxide in the above school information to pupils. The name of the school has been redacted.

21st March 2021… Our email to school

Dear Miss …

It’s come to my attention that the testing swabs within the COVID19 Self-test, Rapid Antigen Test kits have been sterilised using “EO”. This is an abbreviation for Ethylene Oxide, which is a highly-toxic chemical compound described on the following official UK government website as “cancer-causing”.

https://www.cancer.gov/about-cancer/causes-prevention/risk/substances/ethylene-oxide

The first question is, “Why didn’t the school or UK central government notify children or parents about this potential danger?”

Given that oral / inhalation are two means of transferring the chemical toxicity, another important unknown is, “How much cancer-causing ethylene oxide residue is likely to remain on the swab when inserted into my child’s mouth / nasal passage?”

Here is the relevant, but difficult to fathom International Standard ISO 10993-7, which holds a wealth of complex information on medical equipment and residual ethylene oxide, but nothing specific to Covid19 self-testing kits.

http://nhiso.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/ISO-10993-7-2008.pdf

Due to the lack of cautionary information from the school / UK government and my inability to provide voluntary informed consent in line with Point 6.3 of the Nuremberg Code (1947), I am not satisfied that my daughter is being safely and competently dealt with.

The equivalent British Standard is BS EN ISO 10993-7:2008. However, I can’t find a free, accessible .pdf copy of this to allay my concerns. Here’s a link to the headline information:

https://shop.bsigroup.com/ProductDetail/?pid=000000000030214828

I’m sure you’ll appreciate that due to the school’s failure to ascertain / point out the above vitally important information, I’m not happy for my daughter to go ahead with these voluntary tests.

If the testing is to proceed as planned, please endeavour to provide me with the relevant, official guidance. This may be the reassurance I need to help me decide whether the tests are safe,

Best regards,
