Very 1950 to 1990 East Berlin, ain’t it? We would reasonably assume that operators at this unit will be fully groomed in the internet dark arts and will have the ability to intervene, target and ‘neutralise’ their fellow UK citizens by preventing their views from being aired in public.

The optimal way of achieving this end would be via stealth; by not alerting ‘the enemy’ to the presence of foul play. How this could be achieved, we really wouldn’t want to imagine, but it seems our possession of the right to receive and impart information under Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights (yes, we remain signatories) won’t be standing in their way.

As a veteran, we’re going to confidently assume that good sense will prevail and we will not be personally targeted by our former comrades in arms.

Because such conduct would seem to be treacherous in the extreme.
