In reaction to Keir Starmer’s forthcoming Social Media ban ‘protecting children’, I’m reacting the only way I know will protect my privacy when UK authorities go breaching it and tracking me. I’m leaving Facebook (and Messenger), Twitter (X), Telegram, LinkedIn, and NextDoor. SCREW YOU.

I’m already halfway through this process of withdrawal by never signing up to Tiktok, Instagram, SnapChat, WeChat, Reddit, et al.

I’ll be keeping my email address and business website. I’ll also be staying on YouTube, WhatsApp – for now – and will be keeping the Wirral In It Together blog on WordPress.

Musk is currently not permitting users to deactivate their Twitter (X) accounts, or at least, it’s not working for me. I’m just being kicked out when I select it.

The next required step will be to dump my Samsung smartphone, i.e. the spy in the cab.

The Wirral Residents Association is still running!
