Quora.com … post added … The Artificial Intelligence Chatbot ChatGPT agrees with me that Margaret Thatcher lied in relation to the sinking of the Argentine Cruiser General Belgrano, in respect of a signal that was sent on 1st May by Peruvian UK Ambassador Charles Wallace outlining a peace proposal. This occurred the day before the Belgrano was sunk, i.e. today, 43 years ago. Thatcher later went on the BBC programme Nationwide to deny that she had received the signal in London, which would have taken just seconds to reach its destination. Effectively, she had the Belgrano sunk, killing 320 sailors, in order to shore up her political position, boost her very low approval rating and win over 60 rebellious Conservative MPs who had wanted her out.
