UK govt threatened with lawsuit over Covid health passes for venues — slammed as “discriminatory”

A civil liberties group threatened legal action against Boris Johnson’s government saying vaccine passes will “make society less free, less equal and less accessible for people.” (Independent)

Big Brother Watch, which aims to “roll back the surveillance state,” said if BoJo does not scrap Covid passes “we will seek to make our case in court.”

The PM went on the defensive, insisting the British government’s response in the face of Omicron was “balanced proportionate and right.”
