This is the “REG 174 Information for UK Healthcare Professionals” document written by the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA)

1. Vaccine not approved for under 16s

2. Vaccine not tested for interaction or contraindications with other medicines. This is particularly relevant to elderly people, 40% of whom are “polypharmacy” (taking multiple medicines) when living at home

3. Uncertain if vaccine adversely impacts fertility

4. Vaccine doesn’t have marketing authorisation

5. Vaccine should be postponed for those suffering acute severe febrile illness (sudden fever or elevation in body temperature)

6. Vaccine not recommended during pregnancy

7. Unknown if vaccine is excreted in human milk and passed on to newborns and infants. A risk to newborns and infants cannot be excluded

The United Kingdom government, in the rush to be first nation to start injecting the vaccine en masse and to get the manufacturer’s income streams moving, gave the MHRA regulator only 5 days to study and scrutinise the vaccine
