
For posterity, let’s post up here the new leader’s acceptance speech, where certain ‘pledges’ are being made to the people of Wirral. Let’s now bide our time and see whether she lives up to them. It rang extremely hollow, and I’m completely uninspired by this speech. Given her past business and commerce-related conduct, which screams of unchecked nepotism, cronyism and the lavishing of public money on her own and her direct family’s pet projects, I await the future with a certain degree of trepidation.
All 66 so-called council ‘representatives’ were warned in detail about this dangerous situation a couple of days ago, but true to form, they’ve looked the other way.
