I wanted to do a call out about the advancement of Renewable Energy and a summary has been provided below:
Renewable Energy Land Grab In Progress, The Choice Before Us: Renewables Nationwide Or Eat? How Can We Stop This?
Seeing the below should motivate us all into action. This is a national emergency and a threat to our food supply, why is this issue not going to referendum?
If we allow the Government to continue on this trajectory of blanketing our greenbelt and farming land with renewables we would be facing a situation of total reliance on imported food.
For long term food security it is vitally important that we are self reliant in food production.
The situation visually represented above can be prevented from coming to pass by communities standing together and not allowing this to happen.

What Is The Problem We Are Faced With?
- BESS’s (battery energy storage systems) contain lithium batteries posing a toxic fire risk
- BESS’s are currently not considered as hazardous – we must ask WHY?
- Clean energy industries are not addressing fire risk disregarding community safety, e.g., fire suppression systems are not designed to prevent thermal runaway in BESS’s. So how many BESS’s/other renewables have defective fire suppression systems?
- Both solar panels and wind turbines pose a toxic fire risk, e.g., solar panels> exposed to elements/fire>toxins leach into soil>land CANNOT be returned to food use
- Renewables are not efficient. Energy they provide intermittent, BESS’s cannot store energy long term
- The sheer scale of renewables planned, clearly shows that in most instances safety of renewables being ignored. This is a dereliction of a duty of care by Councils/Government towards their constituents
- Over the last 5 years there has been a backlog of renewable energy projects waiting to connect to the grid, so why do we need extensive nationwide coverage if we already have enough energy to supply our needs?
- Our taxes are funding this. Do you want your hard earned money to fund this madness or do you want local infrastructure/services maintained to a high standard?
- When looking at the attack on our farmers combined with nationwide coverage of renewables, this should bring into sharp focus what is happening, that being an attack on our food supply
- Farmers are currently striking to highlight these issues to the public. This could create food shortages in the short to medium term, which is preferable to the alternative shown above
If you currently belong to an inactive Residents Association, it would be most helpful if you could offer your valuable time and contribute in any way that you can as our communities require you to take action. You can choose to ignore this situation or take action. Overlooking this issue is no longer an option

How Can We Prevent This?
Joining your local Residents Association can facilitate the change we desire to benefit our communities. Or becoming active in a Residents Association again, as we need your help
Objecting to renewable energy planning applications ensuring our Councils are held to account.
Ensuring people/Councils are made aware of the problem by showing them the National Residents Association film on renewables.
