This article from Steven Agnew from NIRIG (former leader of Green Party in NI) was published in last Friday’s IRISH News
I presume it was a press release that was sent to every paper, newsroom, council, government department and public elected representative in the country.
Not much point in having a brass neck if you don’t stick it out.
Demand for energy peeks when we experience sub zero temperatures yet the input from renewables especially wind energy to the national grid during such weather conditions is zero.
So whenever we need the energy the most the contribution from wind is ZERO.
Why is government’s subsidising the wind industry so much with various grants, rates benefits and constraint payments when it doesn’t work when we need the energy the most??????
The over reliance on renewables has been a massive economic disaster for every home in the country with people forced to make tough decisions to either eat of heat.
The man who us a mouthpiece for the wind industry has no shame especially at the time with sub zero temperatures, no wind, food banks and warm banks opening all over the place, high energy prices and fuel poverty at an all time high, the list goes on………
yet the answer to all our problems is more renewables.
Now isn’t that “wonderful news”
