NOTHING ABOUT ANY NEW STADIUM HERE…!
p.s. On the 23rd February 2021 – three days ago – the historic decision to build a new football stadium on the banks of the River Mersey, which involves the filling in of the historic Bramley Moore Dock and the sacrificing of Liverpool Waterfront’s World Heritage Status –
WAS SIGNED OFF
The Planning Application number is 20F/001
If you search for the above application number or the key words STADIUM, DOCK, BRAMLEY MOORE on the Liverpool Council website, even inside the Planning Applications page, you will come up with nothing at all.
But we perservered and kept digging until we came up with this:

So Liverpool Council’s Head of Planning has recommended it for approval to local, elected councillors.

THREE DAYS LATER:
p.p.s There’s zero news on the landing page of the local rag:
https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/
p.p.s And there’s plenty of puff, but nothing on this very specific Wikipedia page about any relevant recent Liverpool Council meetings:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bramley-Moore_Dock_Stadium
But BBC News, who have no obvious direct local or financial interest in planning decisions on new developments, have stepped in to confirm it’s been approved and judging by the tone of the article, it’s the best thing since sliced bread:
