Unlike the customary, time-honoured approach, this time the vaccine will be experimentally forced upon and injected into ethnic minorities and elderly people first. The vaccine makers have been indemnified by governments and these groups will therefore have no legal redress should they be harmed. The pharmaceutical industry has acknowledged already that there are likely to be widespread adverse reactions. But $20 billion is the payday that awaits them should the world’s population of 7 billion people ultimately be vaccinated.
